About WINDEY...

Windey attended public elementary & secondary schools in the Philippines. She was born an entertainer. From the tender age, she was already performing.

She acquired her Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education major in English degree at the University of Cebu last 2004 and also finished her Master in Education major in English post graduate at the Mandaue City College last year, 2010.

She received awards for being an Outstanding Performer in the field of Communications Arts at the University of Cebu and also won the Golden Harvest Award from the Division of Cebu of the Department of Education Culture and Sports (DECS).

She represented already as a national finalist in the National Music Competitions for Young Artists at the Cultural Center of the Philippines.

She's also one of the full scholar recipients from the UC Theater Workshop Company from June 2000 to March 2004.

She's an active member and performer with Junjit Primor for the Department of Tourism, Cebu City under its Director, Gov. Gwendolyn Garcia of the Province of Cebu.

Her organizational involvements includes, Katagilungsod Choir / Lady Lectors Psalmist at the Blessed Pedro Calungsod Shrine, Cebu City; member of the Alliance of Student Leader's Summit; Cebu Chamber Singers; Our Lady Minstrel Choir Member, Fatima Parish; Representative, English and Drama Club; and Parish Pastoral Youth Choir / Lady Lectors, Children of Mary, Legion of Mary.

She participated the ROA Music Studio on Music History, Literature and Appreciation Lecture Workshop and Choral Master Class by Dr. Rey Roa from Salt Lake City, Utah, USA.

She won numerous awards like Best Song Composition / Performer for the Sounds of Human World Song at the Cultural Center in Taiwan (September 2008); Finalist in Cebu Popular Music Festival at the Cebu Coliseum (January 2006); Best Performer-Soprano, Southwestern University, Cebu City (September 2006); Finalist of the 1st Our Lady of Fatima Songwriting Contest by Bishop Vicente Manuel SVD, DD Parish Priest (May 2006); Garbo sa Consolacion Awardee (February 2004); and PaStaran Champion (September 2002).
